The Pad was opened in 2009, a purpose built development on the site of the old headquarters of H Fereday & Sons, a long-established manufacturer of scales and weighing machines. The new mix of apartments and retail units joined an already vibrant and very varied locality. Below, is a note of our immediate neighbours. All are our partners in helping to make and maintain a safe, friendly and successful community. Court Gardens
The houses behind the Pad predate the building of the Pad and are situated on what was once part of the court estate. The community includes homes managed by PA Housing and Clarion Housing. Thanks to the residents’ intervention, Court Gardens is recognised as priority area for Safer Neighbourhood engagement.
