This is the website for the Shaftsbury Management Company Ltd which is responsible for the management of The Pad, 45 Holloway Road, London N7 8JP
The company is owned by the lessees – that is, the individual apartment owners – and is managed as a not-for-profit, non-trading entity by a board of volunteer directors made up of apartment owners.
The company is tasked under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 to provide (through a Managing Agent) services to the Block as a whole. Responsibilities include setting budgets and deciding on reserve funds, taking decisions about how the building should be managed day-by-day, and deciding on priorities when it comes to repairs and major works. In short, anything to do with the overall functioning of the building is the company and the board’s responsibility!
To make that possible, one of the key tasks of the company is to appoint a Managing Agents. The building is managed by London Block Management. The company also directly employs the building’s concierge.
